Link to article on Design Boom ...

"through 28 illustrated stories, federico babina sends us on journey into the universe of design history, forming a visual narrative through moody and mysterious vignettes. ‘archidesign’ tells a story through a geometric composition of windows and frames, which shift time across the overall scene. iconic creations made by designers from achille castiglioni to jasper morrison are built around various environments and atmospheres that link them, visually, to the objects."

Cartoons

Cartoons
There are a range of types or cartoons.
They are normally a 2D style of drawing or painting.
Their intent is either satire, caricature or humour.

Comic Strip
This is when a series of 2D cartoon drawings is shown together on a page in a series of boxes, with actions and speech written on so you can follow the story.

Basic Cartoon Expressions

Here are some basic expressions to copy. They are on a very simple head shape, but the same principles can be applied to other heads / characters.

Animation and Cartoons

Animation
This uses a sequence of still images or positions of still objects to produce the illusion of movement when shown one after the other quickly.

In this example, the bouncing ball animation is created using the 6 still pictures shown.
